wildphoto: Blue Iguana on Flickr. I’m back from the Cayman Islands! I had a great time discovering the islands’ wildlife. One of the highlights was photographing the wonderful Grand Cayman Blue Iguanas. These lizards are critically endangered; in 2003 fewer than 15 animals remained in the wild. However, thanks the efforts of the Blue Iguana Recovery Programme, every year around 100 young iguanas are released back into the wild.
